Hello Crafters!
I have been enjoying the new release so very much! How about you guys? I love when I get new products and it inspires me to use something I already have.
When I saw the Up Up and Away set I pictured a bright background with beautiful clouds. I knew my Zig Clean Color Markers would get me the brightness I craved.

I did have to do a little masking since I decided to do no line watercoloring. The Ink on Three Fade Out ink absorbs the colors you put over top of it. I masked mt decorations and my banner on my balloon in order to avoid seeing the balloon lines through it. I also stamped just the top portion of my clouds by wiping off the bottom edge before stamping. Once that was done we were off to watercoloring!

I started by adding in my sky colors. I began with the yellow, orange, pink, and purple which was easy. The blue gets a little tricker because I wanted to make sure I had enough white to blend in my clouds. I only put down blue where I knew there would be no clouds.
Zig Clean color markers love water and they run like crazy. When you begin adding water start with a little to blend the colors you can always add more if you need it. If you do add too much water blot it up with a dry paper towel and start again. Watercolor is really forgiving that way!
You can see my whole process from start to finish in the video below
Even though adding shading proved to be a little bit of a struggle I still love the card. The sky really just makes it for me!
I hope you learned a little something and are inspired to get crafting. Thanks for stopping by!
