Hello crafty friends! Happy new week! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio and today I have this fun card with colorful die cuts and textured black background. It is pretty simple design, but very interesting to look at thanks to all the texture.

The background is a piece of A2 sized black card stock and I used the new Spring Medley 3D embossing folder. This embossing folder adds such an amazing details and textures! I enhanced these even more by lightly rubbing white pigment ink with my fingers. I think silver or gold pigment inks will look beautiful too!

For the sentiment, I white heat embossed ‘You’re the best’ from You’re A Keeper stamp set on the heat resistant acetate. To frame up the sentiment, I die cut one of the frames from Opulent Layering Frames die set once from black and another from white card stock. I sandwiched the acetate between the black one and the white one and trimmed the excess off.

I then die cut the bunch of elements from white card stock and inked them with various colors. TIP: I also added some details with markers and clear gel pens for added texture and interest. I went through my die collection and picked out Whimsical Spring Flowers die set to use with Lovely Layers: Strawberries die set.

To assemble the card, I first glued some leaves and flowers that will go underneath the sentiment frame, then adhered the frame with thin foam tapes. I then added the rest of the florals and strawberries on and around the frame.

To finish off the card, I added Glossy Accents to the strawberries and some pearls and gem stickers on the acetate and centers of the flowers.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!
