Happy new week crafty friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio today and I have this Love/Friendship theme card with cuuuute robots to share with you! I had so much fun creating with this Build-A-Bot set. You can pick and choose all the parts to build your own robot!

I started this card with the background. Using the largest of the Scallop A7 (5″ x7″) die set, I cut out the panel out of white card stock. In order to make the space around the sentiment look bright and heart shaped, I hand cut the heart mask out of some masking paper. I also decided to mask around the light bulbs. I wanted to leave the scallop around the panel white, so I masked it off too with post it tape. After placing all the masks I blended several colors of die inks (yellow, orange, peach, and dark coral colors) with my blending brushes. Before removing the makes, I added some splatters using the same inks and white paint. The sentiment is from Gear Up set and I heat embossed it with teal embossing powder after the background is completely dry.

I then stamped all the images including gear shaped balloons (so fun!) from Build-A-Bot set with dark gray ink and colored them with Copic markers (I couldn’t resist adding a heart pattern on the front panel of the robot on the right!) I die cut them all out with the coordinating dies and adhered them with foam tapes. For the balloon, I added some black thread on the back and tie them to the robots’ hands.

To finish off the card, I scatterd Crystal Clear Acrylic Hearts and added Glossy Accents to some of the parts on the robots.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week!
