Good morning, Honey Bee friends!! I hope you are having a great week!!!

I have a masculine Valentine’s Day card to share with you today!! I don’t know about you, but I always struggle with masculine cards!!

I decided to stick with what I consider to be a very masculine color scheme, red, black & white, with a touch of silver.

I started by die-cutting the largest of the Pierced XOXO Hearts from white cardstock, spread Nuvo Raspberry Rhodolite Glimmer Paste onto it through one of the Layered Heart Stencils, then set it aside to dry. I die-cut the Fluttering Hearts Coverplate Die and Fluttering Hearts Pierced Coverplate Die from panels of black cardstock, layered and adhered them together. I also die-cut a heart frame with two of the Pierced XOXO Heart Honey Cuts from red cardstock.

I adhered the red frame onto the stenciled heart with foam adhesive, then adhered the heart to the center of the black die-cut background. I white heat embossed the beginning of my greeting, from the Heart stamp set, onto black cardstock and cut it into strips. The Heart Honey Cuts were used to cut the remainder of the sentiment and a small heart from red glitter, white and black cardstocks. The sentiment and tiny heart were adhered as shown with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a little shimmer by tracing along the pierced areas of the die-cuts with a Stardust gel pen. I LOVE how this looks like it is stitched with metallic silver thread and adds a little shimmer (but not too much…this is a masculine card, ha!).

That’s it for me today!! What about you? Do you struggle with masculine cards? If you do, I hope that I’ve provided a bit of inspiration today!!

Thanks for stopping by!! I’ll see you next Tuesday!!!

Brenda
