Hello crafty friends!! Brenda, here today with a pretty rainbow card to brighten your day!!!
This was a pretty quick and simple card to create, but I think it still packs a big punch!! I used the new Double Stitched Circles Honey Cut Dies and spaced them evenly, cutting them from Bristol cardstock. I placed them on a card panel and figured out where to cut the circles to create the arcs for the rainbow. I used a rainbow of colors of Distress Oxide Inks and ink blended two colors onto each piece of the “rainbow”. From the outside in, I used Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Candied Apple & Picked Raspberry. Next, the cloud stencil from the Outdoor Scene Builder Stencils was used with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide on Bristol paper. (I love this stencil!! It comes in so handy!!) I adhered a strip of rainbow striped pattern paper to the top and bottom of an A2 card base, trimmed the top and bottom of the cloud panel and then adhered it so that the pattern paper showed at the top and bottom. I cut the clouds and sun from white cardstock with the Partly Cloudy Honey Cuts. I ink blended Fossilized Amber and Squeezed Lemonade onto the sun, then adhered it onto the top left corner of the card. Next, the rainbow was adhered directly to the card panel. The sentiment is a combination of word stamps from the Love Bug sentiment set and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The clouds were popped up with foam adhesive at each end of the rainbow. Lastly, Aurora Lights Confetti mix adds the perfect amount of bling!!
I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to stop by!!! I’ll see you next Thursday!!!
