Hello friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio and I have a set of three Christmas gift tags using the new Lovely Layers: Slice and Stump die set. I decided to go for Christmas tags, but you can of course make them into birthday, baby shower, or any other occasion tags! Just change up the die cuts and the color schemes you use.

If you would like to get some Christmas products, now is the perfect time. Honey Bee Stamps is having Christmas in July sale. All Christmas and winter products are 20% off now through July 4th!

For the wood slices, I used darker brown card stock for the rim, and lighter brown for the inside portion. I then inked the edges before adhering the two pieces together. TIP: I die cut an extra piece to layer on the back of the tag to make them sturdier and heat embossed a sentiment and “To” and “From” (they are from Tag, You’re It set).

I went through my Honey Bee die collection and pulled out quite a few die sets I want to use. This is one of my favorite part of card making! You can use any Christmas/winter themed products but if you don’t have one, you can use any floral or bird dies and make them feel like winter/Christmas tags by using a certain color combinations or adding white splatters! Here are the die sets I used:
Lovely Layers: Winter Birds
Lovely Layers: Poinsettia
Lovely Layers: Winter Greenery
Winter Bouquets (small branch)
Summer Cabins (Trees)
Mugs & Kisses (snowflakes)
I die cut them out with various card stocks and added white puff embossing powders or glitter to some of them to make them look like they were snow covered.

The sentiments are from Tag, You’re It stamp set and Home For The Holidays set. For the one with the cardinal, I white heat embossed the sentiment and die cut it to mount on the tag, but decided to stamp directly on the tag for the other two (honestly, I prefer these look!) with dark brown ink. I then arranged all the die cuts and adhered them with some liquid glue and foam tapes.

To add the twine, ribbon, and jingle bells, I punched a small hole on the top using a hole punch. To finish off these tags, I added some pearl stickers and white paint splatters.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!!
