Hi Bee friends. It’s Bobbi Lemanski here back again with another spring project featuring new products from the Honey Bee Stamp’s Spring Bliss Release. This time, we are headed to the Easter Bunny Farm to see Bunny’s Barn. Grab a basket and shop while you hop. There’s lots of goodies in store for you!

I’m using the following products for this barn-shaped card:

Loads of Spring stamp and die sets

Wood Frame Builder die set

Hoppy Easter stamp set (for the phrases)

Easter Buddies stamp set

Playful Pastels 6″ X 6″ patterned paper pad

along with these prior release products:

Barn Scene Builder die set

Tailgate Alpha die set

Barn Wood Background Stamp

To make this barn shaped die card, I started by die cutting the barn pieces shown.

Tip: For the card base, you’ll see in the the photos below that I created the card fold (i.e., hinge) at the bottom of the card since the top roof line would be difficult to hinge. To do this, I ran the barn shape die through my Gemini Junior, allow the bottom edge of the die to “fall off” the folded edge (therefore not cutting it off). Once the plain white folded base was cut, I attached the card front pieces and the inside card panel pieces to the card base.

I created the barn wood texture on a light pink cardstock by heat embossing the Barn Wood Background Stamp design with white embossing powder. For the barn doors and windows, I die cut them all in a dark gray and a white and offset the the colors slightly for a shadow effect. The door and windows were backed with coordinating pattern papers from the Playful Pastels 6″ X 6″ patterned paper pad.

The flowers, bunny sign, straw/hay and bunny from the Loads of Spring stamp and die sets were added to the front as well as the “welcome” sign from the Beach House Builder stamp and coordinating die sets. I added nail head detailing to the corners of the wood frames. I also added whimsical graining marks on the wood roof trim boards. The letters, BARN from the Tailgate Alpha die sets were added to the front. These alpha dies are so perfect for tighter spaces! I use them in a lot of my projects.

Inside, there’s a market of “bunny-approved” goods including an abundance of carrots, colorful Easter eggs and a basket to shop, too. The wallpaper inside is from the patterned paper pad.

Everything is priced with signage inside. There are wood floors on each level of this barn. All the wood details were made using the Wood Frame Builder Die set except for the first floor. I hand drew the wood planks. Notice the little butt added to the carrot pile! It’s from the Loads of Spring stamp and coordinating die set!

I added fun phrases to the inside of the card front using the Hoppy Easter stamp set. A few fun little Easter designs were also stamped around the phrases from the Easter Buddies stamp set to finish this barn-shaped card.
