Hello crafty friends!! It’s Channin here with a new video and technique!! Today I will be creating a pretty floral card featuring the Wildflowers and Miss You Big Time stamp sets. This card also features a fun rainbow watercolored background created with a technique that may surprise you!

VIDEO: Splashy Rainbow Background with Distress Oxides

To create this card I first stamped several flowers from the Wildflowers stamp set onto a A2 panel of Bristol paper. I used a different Distress Oxide for each flower to create a beautiful rainbow. Once I had finished stamping all my flowers, I then spritzed the panel with water and then used a rocket air blaster to blow the water-downed ink around on the panel. When I moved the ink to my liking I then set the panel aside to dry.

Next, I stamped a couple flowers and a butterfly on to white cardstock in INTENSE Black Ink and then copic colored the images. After I had colored my images I then die cut them out with the matching dies.

Next, I stamped my main sentiment from the Miss You Big Time stamp set in INTENSE Black Ink onto white cardstock. Then die cut it out with the matching and then stamped and white heat-embossed a sub-sentiment onto black cardstock. After I heat set my sub-sentiment I then trimmed it down to a strip.

I then adhered my watercolored panel onto an A2 top-folding white card base with liquid adhesive. Next, I adhered my images and sentiment with foam adhesive and lastly I finished my card with some clear sequins.

I hope you enjoyed my card and video! Thank you so much for stopping by!
