Hello friends!! It’s Channin here with a new card and video!! In today’s video I will add color to the beautiful flowers from the Harvest Blooms Background Stamp Set with the fun and loose ink smooshing technique!

VIDEO: Ink Smooshing with Harvest Blooms Background

To create this card I first stamped the Harvest Blooms Background stamp onto an A2 panel of watercolor paper in Versamark Ink. Next, I poured on black embossing powder over the image and then heat set. Then with a sheet of acetate and several Distress Inks, I ink smooshed over the flowers and leaves to add color. When I was finished with the panel I then adhered it to an A2 top-folding card base.

Next, I die cut three “blessed” out of black cardstock using the Bless Honey Cuts die set. I then die cut a shadow layer using the same die set out of vellum. I then adhered a black “blessed” on top of and under the vellum die cut. Next, I heat embossed the remaining black “blessed” with clear embossing powder and then adhered it to the top of the stack sentiment.

Next, I stamped a sub-sentiment from the Blessed Stamp Set in Versafine Onyx Black Ink onto gray cardstock and then trimmed down to a strip. I then finished the card by adhering the two sentiments to the card front.

That’s it!! I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video! Thank you so much for stopping by!
