Hello crafty friends!! It’s Channin here with a new video and technique!! Today I will be creating several tie dye inspired cards featuring the High Five Stamp Set and Helping Hands Honey Cuts! Check out the video below to learn this fun new technique!

VIDEO: Faux Tie Dye High Five Cards

To create these cards I first trimmed down some cold press watercolor paper to create several A2 panels. I then smooshed several Distress Oxides (Mustard Seed, Mermaid Lagoon, and either Picked Raspberry or Candied Apple) over the front of one of the panels and then spritzed it with water.

Next, I placed a sheet of plastic cling wrap over the wet surface, scrunching it here and there to create wrinkles, then placed my die cutting platform on top and allowed it to dry completely. When the panel had dried I then removed the platform and plastic wrap.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from the High Five stamp set in Versamark Ink onto a scrap of either pink or red cardstock. I then heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. Next, I die cut around it with the heart die from the Helping Hands Honey Cuts set. I then ink blended the edges of the heart with either Picked Raspberry or Candied Apple Distress Ink.

Next, I die cut several hands out of different shades of neutral cardstocks. I then adhered the watercolored panels to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. Lastly, I adhered a hand and heart to the front of each one of my cards with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed my cards and video! Thank you so much for stopping by!
