Hello, friends! It’s Channin here with a new card and video to share! In today’s video I create a fun and easy interactive card, plus share a unique ink-lifting technique.

VIDEO: Butterfly Penny Shakers With Ink-Lifted Background

First, I stamped several images from the Fluttering By Stamp Set in VersaFine Onyx Black and onto Bristol paper. Once I finished watercoloring the images I then die cut them out with the matching dies.

Next, I ink blended the front of an A2 panel of Bristol paper with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean distress oxides. When I finished ink blending the panel I then lifted some of the ink with a damp chamois. I then dried the panel and stamped a sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black and then heat embossed it in clear.

Next, I die cut three 1/2” circles with the Penny Shaker Honey Cuts die set. I then added doubled-up strips of foam adhesive to the backside of the panel, leaving a good 1” – 1 1/4” opening around each one of the die cut circles. Next, I place three pennies down on the front of an A2 top-folding card base. I then removed the backing on the foam tape and adhered the panel to the card. Next, I added a small foam circle to each one of the pennies and then added the butterflies.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video! Thank you so much for stopping by!
