Hello Bee Friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with a couple of decorated trees for for the holidays. One is the focal point of my greeting card while the other makes a pretty gift tag. I am using the following Honey Bee Stamps products from the Make It Merry release for these two projects:

Grandma’s Christmas Tree Honey Cuts

Grandma’s Christmas Tree Embossing Folder

Grandma’s Christmas Tree Stencil Set – Set of 3 coordinating stencils

Foil Script: Holiday Hot Foil Plate and Honey Cuts

Home for the Holidays stamp set (coordinating Honey Cuts also available)

Snow Day and Vintage White Treasure Blend sequins

Layering Snowflakes Honey Cuts (from a previous release)

The featured projects below are made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

Holiday Tree Card

My card measures 5″ X 7″. I embossed the tree using the embossing folder and my die cutting machine, colored it using the coordinating stencils and cut it with the Honey Cuts dies. I used Distressed Oxide Inks in Iced Spruce, Speckled Egg and Milled Lavender for the tree color. These colors are muted and soft and work well together. I splattered white ink over the tree using Dr. PH Marten’s Bleed-proof Ink in white.

I added Nuvo Drops is Metallic Silver Lining and Crushed Grape to the tree for ornaments. I also added Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard on the edges of the branches for more festive flare. I attached Glow Confetti for a little sparkle. These accents are beautiful in person!

For the background, I splattered watercolor paint on a 5″ X 7″ front panel made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock. I kept approximately 2″ up from the bottom of the panel free of any splatters. I used watercolors in a light dusty blue, purple and metallic bronze from my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paint set. I cut out snowflakes from white cardstock and attached them to the splattered background area using Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue. The tree was attached using Scrapbook Adhesives .25 Foam Squares in white to make it stand out a bit. A scattering of Snow Day and Vintage White Treasure Blend sequins were attached to the background as well as drops of Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard.

I foiled the “Peace” sentiment in Gold Foil (using my Spellbinder Glimmer Hot Foil System) and die cut it using the coordinating dies included in the Foil Script: Holiday Hot Foil Plate and Honey Cuts set. I attached the sentiment right below the tree in the white space.

Inside, I attached a white snowflake, a sequin accent, and stamped two sentiments from the stamp set, Home for the Holidays stamp set.

Christmas Tree Tag

Using similar colors and supplies, I made a tree gift tag, too. I made it a two-layer tag by cutting off the bottom of the tree’s top layer.

I punched a hole at the top of the tree and added a simple silver string for this tag. This is a fun way to make a coordinating card and tag set for your favorite person!
