Hi friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio today and I have this fun beach scene in a mason jar to share with you all! This card combines two of my favorite card design: beach scene and mason jar! You can also make this into a fun shaker card by adding some seed beads or sequins.

To make the card front, I first die cut out the jar from a piece of A2 sized pattern paper (sorry I did not realize this pattern paper is retired. But there is a similar one in the Vitamin Sea paper pad!) using Mason Jar Vase die set and layered a piece of clear acetate on the back. The sentiment is from Best Of Everything set and I stamped it with teal ink.

To create the beach scene, I die cut all the elements from various card stocks including a pattern paper from Simply Spring pad and Vitamin Sea pad using Shoreline Scene Builder die set. I especially love the orange & pink water color looking one from Simply Spring pad since it was the perfect color for my sunset scene. I used this one sheet for the sky, beach umbrella, clouds, yacht and a small flower. On the A2 card base, I adhered the background and all the elements. TIP: Pencil in the shape of the jar on the background to help you decide the positioning.

I then decided to tie a piece of twine around the lid of the jar. To do that, I first adhered the die cut lid (two layers to add a little bit of dimension), and then punched two small holes on each side of the lid. I thread through some twine and tied a bow.

To decorate around the jar, I added some die cuts to the both sides. Here are the list of the die sets I used:
Lovely Layers: Seashore (seashell)
Tropical Bouquet (Plumeria)
Lovely Layers: Dogwood (small flower) TIP: I added the hibiscus stamen (from Tropical Bouquet) to make it into a tropical flower (hibiscus was too large for this)
Country Christmas Wreath (greenery)

To finish off the card, I added some clear glitter to the seashell and a pearl sticker to the Plumeria.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!
