Happy new week crafty friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio today and I have this sweet spring window scene card to share with you all! This can also be turned into a fun shaker card if you choose to put some sequins or gems inside.

The window, flower box, the trimming on the top, and the curtains are all from Cottage Window die set. I die cut the window components from woodgrain card stock and inked them blue to much the pattern paper from Playful Pastels paper pad I use for the background (“wall”). From the same paper pad, I die cut the curtains and cut out a rectangle piece to layer behind the window to mimic the wallpaper.

This adorable girl with bee costume is from Bee Young: Spring set and the florals, bunny and bees are from Loads of Spring set. I stamped and colored them with Copic markers and die cut out with the coordinating dies. The sentiment from Bee Young set was gold heat embossed on blue card stock and die cut with the coordinating die. TIP: I chose not to heat emboss directly on the flower box because of the woodgrain texture.

On A2 (4.25″ x 5.5″) sized card base, adhere the background panel (blue pattern paper) and layer the ‘wallpaper’ (yellow pattern paper) and the girl image. On the back of the window frame, adhere clear acetate and curtain pieces. Add thin foam tapes around the window frame then adhere it on the wallpaper piece. TIP: If you don’t have those thin strip of foam tapes, cut few additional window frames from heavy weight card stock and layer them on the back. Alternatively, you can adhere them flat but I love the little dimension they adds. I then adhered the flower box and the trim with foam tapes and added florals and the bunny image. To make the sentiment stand out a little bit, I die cut two extra piece and layered them on the back before adhering it on the flower box.

To finish off the card, I adhered bees and added some Glossy Accents to the flower centers. I also tied some twine on the top.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!!
