Hi Bee friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with three greetings perfect for sending this spring, while we continue to practice social distancing in various parts of the world. I’m using the charity sets from Honey Bee StampsPaper Hugs and Hang In There. These two heartfelt stamp sets were created to help with relief efforts for the COVID-19 pandemic. Honey Bee Stamps is donating half of all proceeds to Feeding America to help food banks during these most difficult times. Today, I’ve got three 5″ X 7″ cards that are perfect to send paper hugs to your loved ones during this unprecedented time.

Card 1: A Card for Mom

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, why not send a bouquet of flowers to mom? I used the following Honey Bee Stamps products to create this heartfelt card:

Paper Hugs stamp and die sets

Spring Bouquet die set

Mother’s Day stamp and die sets

Farm Fresh Flowers stamp set (for the flower stems, only)

Spring Lullaby 6″ X 6″ paper pad

To create the bouquet, I added flowers from the Spring Bouquets die set and the stems from the Farm Fresh Flowers set. The newly released paper pad, Spring Lullaby steals the show with all the soft and pretty background patterns. The Mother scripted word is from the Mother’s Day stamp and die sets. This card is a perfect way to send a beautiful bouquet and hug to mom from anywhere and at anytime of the year!

Card 2: A Card for a Friend

The sweet bunny from the charity set, Hang In There is irresistibly cute. The only thing cuter is this sweet bunny holding a very large basket of flowers! I used the following Honey Bee Stamps products to make this card:

Hang In There stamp and die sets

Spring Bouquets die set

Friend stamp set for the phrase, “Blessed to know you,” only

Spring Lullaby 6″ X 6″ paper pad

To make the basket, I used my white gel pen and Copic markers in warm gray shades to create a basket weave pattern by hand. The bunny’s head was added to the side of the basket as if he’s peeking around the over-sized bouquet. Flowers were cut using the Spring Bouquets dies and shaded with Copics. The bunny’s paws were attached to the front of the basket to show he is holding it. The coordinating die set makes this easy to do. 🙂 Paint was splattered on white cardstock to create the speckled background. More Spring Lullaby patterned papers were used for the background as well. The phrase band and the white stitching lines using a white Gel Pen adds the finishing touch.

Card 3: A 2020 Birthday Card

With everyone celebrating their spring birthdays at home this year, why not make light of the situation in a fun way? I mean we all know the troubles we’ve had with pandemic toilet paper hoarding! I created this card to bring a smile or maybe even a laugh to the birthday gal/guy. I used the following Honey Bee Stamps products for this card:

Hang In There stamp and die sets

Birthday Stamp and die sets

Bee Bold Numeric die set for the number two

Birthday Bash 6″ X 6″ paper pad

Spring Lullaby 6″ X 6″ paper pad

I used the toilet paper rolls as the zeros in the “2020” to make light of the TP hoarding situation. The number twos and the birthday script word and shadow were die cut and added to the front. This fun background paper is from the newly released Birthday Bash paper pad. Bits of paper confetti were adhered to the front, around the scripted words to continue the fun border. Words from the Hang in There set were added at the bottom, poking fun at the situation we are in. While we all know the pandemic is a very serious situation, it’s nice to take a break from it all and make someone smile on his/her special day!
