Hello! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with Day 3 of the Sneak Peeks for the upcoming release, Let’s Celebrate by Honey Bee Stamps! I’m sharing several new sets that are designed to work together to make these awesome apron-shaped cards. These sets are so clever and the best part is that they can be used for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthday and more. You can make this apron look feminine or masculine. After all, we all need an apron from time to time! The Let’s Celebrate release goes live on Monday, 5/3 at 9:00 PM, PST. Note: The links provided below will work once the release goes live so come on back and shop on 5/3!
I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products from the new release:
An Apron for the Baker
My first card uses the Apron A2 Card die set, Baked With Love stamp set and its coordinating dies and pattern paper from the Funfetti 6″ X 6″ paper pad. I die cut the elements to make the apron and added pompom trim at the top and on the front pocket. I stitched the edges of the pink pattern paper and also added faux green stitches around the outer perimeter.
Elements from the Baked With Love stamp and coordinating dies were used to add the icing bag, rolling pin, spatula, and spoon to the pocket. I added the verse from the same set. I also slipped in the oven mitt from the Apron BBQ Add-On die set. I added little clay bits from the Candy Shoppe package to the rolling pin, mitt, and around the phrase.
On the inside, I stamped another message from the Baked With Love stamp set and used my Copics to add some funfetti dots to coordinate with the front panel print. Stitching in green around the perimeter of the insert finishes the inside of this shaped card.
An Apron for the Gardener
My second card is designed for the gardener. I used the pocket die from the Apron BBQ Add-On die set. I thought this pocket design fit nicely for a utility apron. I used more pattern paper from the Funfetti 6″ X 6″ paper pad and used a fine-tip marker to add the faux black stitching to the layers. I added the gardening gloves, tools and garden stakes to the pocket from the Apron Garden Tools Add-On die set.
I also added the friend word die and shadow die from the Bitty Buzzword stamp and coordinating dies set. Small red flowers and leafy clay bits were added to the apron and the garden gloves for a bit of red.
Inside the card, I die cut the insert out of yellow cardstock and stamped the message from the Bitty Buzzword stamp set. I also added yellow dots Using a Copic Y32 to match the front. Black faux stitching finishes the inside.
