Hello crafty friends! Leanne here today.  I’ll let you in on a little secret… Valentine’s Day is my most favorite card sending holiday.  It could be because pink is my favorite color and hearts are my favorite design element to use on cards. For today’s card, I’ve used some of the fun new products from the Bee Mine release which are perfect for Valentine’s Day cards.  My slimline card features a big bold greeting overtop a glittery arrow pattern.  I’ve used traditional Valentine colors with a pop of gold to glam it up.

I started with an ink blended slimline panel (8.5″ long by 3.25″ wide) For the ink blending I used Distress Oxides in Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries.  I spattered the panel with clean water.  I used the Cupid’s Arrow Stencil add a fun pattern to the background.  Instead of stenciling with a color ink, I used an embossing ink with WOW Unicorn Magic embossing powder to achieve that pretty gold sparkle.

I die cut two large hearts with the Pierced XOXO Hearts Honey Cuts… one from vellum and one from Craft Perfect Gold Dust Glitter Card.  I layered the hearts and adhered onto the background panel at an angle. Next I created the bold words for the greeting with the Love You and Heart Honey Cuts.  I used all three layers to make the words really stand out from the background.  To complete the greeting, I added “with all my” which is a stamp from the Heart 3×4 set.  I adhered the greeting with thin dimensional foam squares again at an angle that aligns with the arrow pattern.

Since this is a Valentine’s Day card, I decided to add a few more hearts.  I die cut a bunch of tiny hearts with dies from the Heart Honey Cuts set.  I placed them onto the background panel in some of the small spaces between the arrows.  Lastly I adhered the completed panel to a slimline white card base that measures 3.5″ by 8.5″.
