Hi friends. It’s Bobbi here with a little shake, shake, shake! I am sharing a birthday shaker card today. The latest Honey Bee Stamp’s release includes all the things you need to make the cutest birthday cards. I’m using the following new release items:

Lovely Layers: Cupcakes & More Honey Cuts dies

3D Rosette Honey Cuts dies

Mini Messages Birthday stamps

Celebrate Background stamp set

Bee Creative A7 Shaker Pockets and A2 Shaker Pockets

Let’s Party Paper Pad

Candy Sprinkles

The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To make this A7-sized card, I started by cutting an A2 striped background for my A2 shaker component. I added sprinkles to the pocket (I used colorful balls for the shaker element). I sealed the shaker using the new A2 Shaker Pockets. These are so great to use. They make shaker cards super easy and fast! The flaps fold to the back, all around the shaker pocket to seal in the sprinkles. I set aside the pocket and worked on the rest of the card.

Next, I created the cupcake using the Lovely Layers: Cupcakes & More Honey Cuts dies. I used a coordinating print from the Let’s Party Paper Pad for the cupcake liner. I added a cherry and sprinkles to the cupcake.

I also created a cute rosette using the 3D Rosette Honey Cuts dies, cardstock and a confetti paper from the Let’s Party Paper Pad. I stamped, cut, and attached the “Blow out the candles” phrase and attached it to the front of the rosette.

For the background, I attached the “HB” paper from the same paper pad. I attached the pocket, cupcake and rosette to the front, layering them over the pocket to complete the card. I stamped, cut and attached the large HAPPY BIRTHDAY banner to the bottom, (right under the shaker pocket) to complete the card. The phrase is from the Celebrate Background stamp set.
