Hi friends! Happy new week! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio and I have a pretty mason jar shaped card filled with colorful seashells. It’s not a shaker card (the seashells are adhered) but this could be made as a fun shaker card too!

To make a mason jar, I first die cut a jar shape from a blue ombre paper (from the new Beach Vibes pattern paper pad) using Mason Jar Card die. I then die cut out the inside of the jar using a die I found in my collection. TIP: If you don’t have a perfect die, you can use your craft knife to cut out. The jar topper was die cut from a textured paper and adhered to the jar.

The seashells and starfish are from Flippin’ Fabulous stamp set. I white heat embossed a bunch of them (I used three sets of them) and colored them using Zig clean color real brush markers. The images were cut using the coordinating dies and adhered to the front panel. TIP: If you want to make a shaker card, you can just arrange them on the panel without glue and maybe add some sequins or gems to shake around with them. I then adhered the panel on the jar shaped card base I made with a heavy weight white card stock.

The sentiment is from the same Flippin’ Fabulous set. I white heat embossed it on a piece of heat resistant acetate and glued the frame on top. I then added a layer of foam tapes on the back of the frame and adhered it on the card base.

You can now embellish the jar with whatever you like! Here is what I used:
Ukulele and Tiki: Luau stamp and die set
Plumeria Flower: Tropical Bouquets die set (die cut and colored with markers)
Anchor: Beach House Add-On stamp and die set (white heat embossed)
Tag: Piece of Cake die set (‘Aloha’ stamp from Wish You Were Here set)
I love that the die set for both Tiki and Ukulele includes two sets of dies (one to cut out the image with no border, and the other with the border) so the die cuts will have a subtle dimension when you layer them. I adhered the Tiki and Ukulele to the jar and added tiny die cut flowers to the Tiki (this is included in the Treat Shop Add-On die).

I then tied a piece of twine and added a flower, tag and anchor. To finish off the card, I added Glossy Accents to the Ukulele and a gem to the flower.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Have a wonderful week!!
