Hi there! Emily Midgett here with you today sharing some inspiration using some of the products from Honey Bee Stamps’s 4th Anniversary Release! We released some absolutely fabulous stamps and dies last week, over 50 in fact, and each one was so beautiful and unique! I am all about flowers (of course), so the Mother’s Day stamps and dies were particularly attractive to my creative eye. Let’s get started with the details!
I began by using the oval die cut in the Mother’s Day Honey Cuts set to die cut some white, Copic-friendly card stock. One of my most favorite aspects of this stamp and die set is the unique shapes within the die set; there are two geometric shapes that have the floral swag shape attached to them, so you can create an interesting tag or even a shaped card with them! After die cutting the oval tag, I stamped the floral swag from the Mother’s Day stamp set using Copic-friendly black ink, then colored the image with my Copic markers in a cheerful red, peach, and lime color scheme.
Next, I used blending brushes and some pinkish-red ink to lightly blend a bit of color along the bottom of the oval. I then stamped the greeting from Mother’s Day using black ink, adding a black die cut “Mother’s” from the coordinating die collection over the top of the stamped version of the same word. The black die cut helped to make the most important word pop even further against the red ink blending.
The final step was to pop the completely colored die cut up on a white A2 card base using foam tape.
Well, that’s all for my project today! I hope you enjoyed my project using these beautiful and super unique Mother’s Day stamps and dies. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous weekend!
