Hello crafty friends! Remember the old saying April Showers bring May Flowers? Well I think that April Showers can also bring rainbows! We always see lots rainbows in the spring and that’s what inspired my card today.

This card is A7 size and measures 5″ wide by 7″ tall. I created the blue ombre’ ink blended background with a combo of three Distress Oxide Inks – Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire. I then gave it a generous splattering of blue and white paint.

I wanted to create a pretty sky with lots of interest so I used vellum and white card stock for the cloud layers. I used the Large Clouds Honey Cuts to cut out several clouds and layered them up over the entire card front. I used sliver embossing powder and sentiment stamps from Rainbow Wishes to add the greeting right onto two of the clouds. I then used colored card stock scraps plus the Rainbow Wishes Honey Cuts to make the rainbow.
I knew this sky scene needed something else so I decided to include some cute little bees flying around. I used the Honey Bees Paper Piecing Honey Cuts to create the bees. To finish this card off, I added a scattering of Crystal Clear Acrylic Hearts.
