Happy Monday crafty friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio today and I have this fun slimline card to share with you all! Now the weather is getting warmer (here in Tokyo) and what is better than some ice cream, especially when it is rainbow? I used my favorite product from this release, Lovely Layers: Cupcakes & More die set. I just LOVE the shapes and the textures these dies create!

To fit all the colors of the rainbow, I decided to make a slimline card. For the background, I used Slimline Sentiments Eyelet die (this is retiring and now on sale!) to die cut a scalloped frame from teal card stock and the panel from fun birthday pattern paper from the new Let’s Party paper pad.

Then I die cut ice cream and all the accessary pieces from various colors of card stock including glitter card stock for the top layer of the whipped cream and the candle flame. The sentiment is from the new You’re So Extra stamp set and I white heat embossed it on the same teal card stock I used for the scallop frame and die cut out using the coordinating die. When I laid out the pieces, I felt I needed something on the bottom to balance out the sentiment. The new Lovely Layers: Party Blower was the perfect size! I die cut all the pieces from card stock and the fringe piece from yellow tissue paper. TIP: I folded the tissue paper 4 or 5 times before die cut and layered them on top of each other so I could have a full looking fringe.

I then adhere both the card panel and the frame to the card base I made slightly larger than the frame, and laid out the die cut pieces. Once I am happy with the layout, I glued all the elements using both liquid and foam adhesives. To add extra texture, I added some Glossy Accents and clear glitter to some of them.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!!
