Hi there! It’s Bobbi with more of those pawsitively adorable pups from Puppy Love. Today, we’re having fun in Pinky the Pig’s pool. She’s invited several of her pup pals. π Let’s jump in and have some fun together!

Today’s interactive slider card features the following Honey Bee Stamps products:
- Pinky the Pig stamp and die sets
- Puppy Love stamp and die sets
- Furever Friends stamp set
- Happy Birthday stamp set
- Curved Interactive Sliders die set
- Penny Shakers die set
- Outdoor Scene Builders Stencils

To make this 5″ X 7″ landscape-oriented card, I started by stamping, coloring (using Copic Sketch markers) and die cutting Pinky, the two pups, and the glass of lemonade. I drew the inflatable pool, the splash background and the two beach balls and colored them in and cut them out. To outfit Pinky for the pool, I added a few simple lines to create the swim cap and swimsuit on Pinky. She’s now ready! To make the beach balls, I simply die cut two circles, drew seams with a black marker and colored each section in a bright color. I created the background using the Cloudy Stencil from the Outdoor Scene Stencil Set and Tumbled Glass Distressed Ink . After determining the position of the pool, I stamped two puddles of water (from Pinky’s set) at the bottom and added a green grassy area around them. My scene elements are now ready.

After planning out the scene and before I adhered the elements to the front, I die cut the curved slider track to allow the flying pup to dive right into the pool. I used the Penny Shaker set to create the slider image mechanism. This set includes different sized circle pieces that can be used to keep the sliding image on its track. The die cut piece from the track was glued back down onto the card base, under the slider opening for a continuous cloud design on the front.

Once the track was die cut, I adhered the scene elements to the background. I added a few additional splashes to the cloud backdrop, behind the big splash and added water drops on the outside of the pool. The completed scene card front was attached to the card base using dimensional foam tape on the back of the card front, carefully allowing plenty of room around the track for the flying pup mechanism to slide freely in its track.

I stamped the “Have a Happy Birthday” sentiment and splash marks from Pinky’s set inside the card base to complete the card. Now that’s a card that makes quite a splash!
Thanks for stopping by today. Make a splash in these last days of summer! Have a pool of fun!
