Hi crafty friends! Happy new week! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio and I have this cute and yummy hot drink themed card to share with you all! This is die cut heavy design with no coloring so pretty quick to pull together!

The gorgeous background is made with the new cover plate dies. I first die cut a piece of A2 sized pale blue card stock with Fancy Flakes A2 Cover Plate Die, lined up the Pieced Fancy Flakes A2 Cover Plate Die on the die cut piece, and ran it through the die cut machine to add this beautiful piecing details. I simply layered this on a piece of white glitter card stock I cut to A2 size and adhered it to the card base.

To make these fun hot beverages, I mainly used the new Mugs & Kisses dies (mugs, spoons, coffee, candy cane, and whipped cream) and added some fun details. For the snowman mug, I used snow marker for the whipped cream and added brown ink with sponge to mimic cocoa powder. The eyes and mouth are enamel dots and I cut out the carrot nose and scarf from glitter card stock and pattern paper. For the Santa mug, I added coffee art detail using Hug In The Mug stamp and white puff embossing powder. The ginger bread guy is from Country Christmas Wreath set and I white heat embossed him on brown card stock and die cut. I added white enamel dots for the buttons and made belt, belt buckle and white trim using the dies I found in my stash. TIP: You can go through your die collection to find something you can use. For example, I used a leaf die for carrot nose and a part of a window frame to use as a belt buckle. The belt and scarf were made with a slider die.

I love making cookies out of card stocks for some reason (I don’t bake the real thing!). For these “stained glass cookies”, I first die cut the cookies four times from brown card stock and once from the color for the design. I used Cookie Sheet die for the cookies but you can use a small circle die instead. I then die cut out the center of the brown cookies with snowflake (from Mugs & Kisses set) and a tree (from Hug In A Mug set). Then layer all the brown die cuts on the colored cookie (I used red and pale pink) and ink the edges with brown ink to make them look more realistic. I then applied Glossy Accents on top and sprinkled some clear glitter as “sugar”.

The sentiments are from Hug In A Mug set and I stamped them on the same pale blue card stock as the snowflake background with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink and added clear heat embossing and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I then adhered everything on the card panel some with precision tip glue and some with foam tapes. As the finishing touches, I added some Crystal Clear Acrylic Hearts, Glossy accents to the spoons and candy cane, and a heart sticker I found in my stash.

Thank you very much for stopping by today.
Have a wonderful week!!
