Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there! I wanted to share this card on this special day because I call my kiddos (and my fur girl dog), my “love bugs.” Do you have “love bugs” in your life? They are the best kind of bugs in my opinion. šŸ™‚

I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products for this A7 greeting card:

Spring Meadows stamp set and Honey Cuts dies

Love Bug Hot Foil Plate & Honey Cuts

Daisy Field 3D Embossing folder

Lovely Layers: Spring Greenery Honey Cuts dies

The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Beeā€™s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I stamped many of the cute elements from the Spring Meadows stamp set on white cardstock and cut them out using the coordinating Honey Cuts dies. I colored the images using Copic Sketch Markers. I foiled the ā€œHello There Love Bugā€ sentiment inĀ a fuchsia foil (similar to this magenta foil) and tangerine foilĀ using myĀ Spellbinder Glimmer Hot Foil System and die cut the words using the coordinating dies included in theĀ Love Bug Hot Foil Plate & Honey CutsĀ set.

I embossed a separate 5″ X 7″ piece of white cardstock using the Daisy Field 3D Embossing folder and applied Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to the daisy petals and added gold centers using Pearl Pen. Note: Because my card is 7″ long, I ran the front panel through my embossing folder twice to extend the design the full length. I simply matched up the pattern to make it continuous.

I attached the colored elements to the embossed front panel, including the foiled sentiment words. I used foam dots to make the elements stand out. I die cut a few greenery pieces from the Lovely Layers: Spring Greenery Honey Cuts dies and added them to the perimeter of the design for a colorful border around the top and sides of the sentiment words. I used my white Gelly Roll pen to add highlights to the images and specks of black using a fine-tip black marker to finish the card. This card is ready for my sweet love bugs!
