Hello Honey Bee friends!! I couldn’t wait to have a play with the gorgeous new Lovely Layers: Anemones! I pictured this beautiful flower in a bit less traditional holiday color with lots of sparkles and I think I’ve succeeded on the sparkle part! LOL! This was a fun card to make and super easy too! Read on for the details.

I started with an A2 piece of 80# Neenah and masked off the center with a 2-½” piece of printer paper that I temporarily adhered to the center of the panel. I placed it in my MISTI and used my anti static pouch on the card. Then I inked up the Falling Snow background stamp with Versamark ink and stamped it a couple times. Leaving the stamp on the MISTI door, I removed the card panel and sprinkled on some White Puff Twinkle embossing powder and heat set it.

Next I turned the card 180º and stamped it again with Versamark. This time I sprinkled on Honey Bee’s Bee Kind embossing powder and heat set it. I removed the mask and added some of the NEW Bee Creative ¼” Double-sided red sticky tape to the edges of the snowflake stamped portions. I added Bee Kind embossing powder to the tape, burnished it with my finger, then swept off the excess and heat set it. I added a strip of silver paper to the centers. Then I trimmed the panel to 4″ x 5-¼” and adhered it to a top-folding card base.

Then I die cut all of the pieces of the Lovely Layers: Anemones and used a few Copic markers to color the flower layers and leaves. For the flower I used BG34, BG11, and BG10. For the leaves I used G29, G17, and G05. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Inside: Holiday Sentiments set in Intense Black ink. (I love how these “inside” sentiments can be used for the card front!) I used the coordinating Honey Cut to cut it out. I used Bee Creative glue to adhere the flower layers.

I used a few foam squares to adhere the flower to the card and Bee Creative glue for the other pieces. I used a thin foam strip to pop up the sentiment.

I just love all of the sparkle of this card! I hope you’ve enjoyed my card with the nontraditional holiday colors! Thank you so very much for stopping by!
