Hi friends! Bobbi Lemanski here with a minty delicious card to share. McDonald’s restaurants bring back the Shamrock Shake each March so I thought Mae the Mouse should serve up her very own marvelous, March Mint Smoothie! My card features the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Mason Jar die set

Mae the Mouse stamp and die sets

Brie Mine stamp set

This smoothie is topped with extra goodness including whipped cream with strawberry and chocolate sprinkles spilling over the top along with a chocolate covered strawberry, a vanilla and chocolate striped candy kiss, a chocolate chip cookie, a festive green shamrock and a brightly striped straw. Inside the smoothie drink there’s chocolate chip bits for chocolate lovers! To make this, I hand cut the whipped cream. The straw was made by simply cutting a long strip and adding blendednstripes with R27, RV09 and RV55 Copic colors. The rest of the goodies were stamped, colored with Copic Markers and die cut.

Mae, our server is wearing a pink-striped apron adorned with a cute ice cream sundae applique from the Treat Shoppe Add-on stamp set. Mae is also holding a shamrock for a little luck, too! I colored Mae in the E70’s color group (with some light V000 and RV11) for something a little different. These brown shades blend well with the pink tones on Mae and the card.

Inside the card, the phrase from Brie Mine and the shamrock from Mae the Mouse was added. I also inked on some Lucky Clover Distressed Oxide Ink around to the edges. Fitting color for this card, right?! I used my blender brushes to add the color to the inside. I avoided any marker coloring on the inside so that the color would not bleed through to the card back.

To assemble this card, I created the front panel as you see it in the photos and hand cut a piece of white cardstock to cover the top half of the back for a clean look. Next, I attached a folded die cut shaped card to the back to cover the remaining back side. When you open the card, the part that extends at the top simply folds down along the card back as shown above.

This card measures 3.64″ wide X 8″ tall and fits in a pre-made #9 business envelope that measures 3.875″ X 8.875″ for mailing.
