Hello, crafty friends!! I hope this finds you all well!! Brenda here with a birthday card featuring the new Lovely Layers: Iris Honey Cuts, along with a few other goodies from the Celebrate Release!! I see that some of you are starting to receive your orders!! I can’t wait to see what everyone creates with this fabulous release!!

I began by die-cutting the flowers, stems and leaves in the Lovely Layers: Iris Die Set from white cardstock. I added color and shading with Distress Oxide Inks and the new Beeluxe Blending Brushes. I applied Prize Ribbon for the base color on the irises using the Beeluxe Size 10 Detail Blending Brushes, then added shading with Villainous Potion and Beeluxe Size 5 Detail Blending Brushes. Mustard Seed was added to the center of the irises and some of the petals and Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wildness inks were used on the stems and leaves. All of the layers were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue.

A panel of yellow pattern paper from the Textiles & Textures: Celebrate Paper Pad was die-cut with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set and adhered to an A2 panel of dark blue cardstock. I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the fourth largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Ovals Die Set and embossed it with the Sandie’s Garden 3D Embossing Folder, then adhered it to the background panel. The irises, stems and leaves were arranged and adhered with Bee Creative Glue and the stems were trimmed flush with the bottom of the card.

The sentiment is from the Celebrating You Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered them behind the stamped layer for dimension, then adhered it to the lower right side of the card. Light blue pearls from the Celebration Pearl Sticker Pack were the perfect finishing touch. (I also stamped “Hope all your birthday wishes come true” from the Celebrating You Stamp Set on the inside of the card with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, but I forgot to take a photo.)

I absolutely love these irises!! I can’t wait to dig in to the rest of this amazing release!!

That does it for me today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great week!!

Brenda
