Hello friends. I had to share this beautiful hummingbird with you. It’s part of Honey Bee’s 9th Birthday Release. What goes with hummingbirds? Florals! I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products for this 5″ X 7″ card:

Lovely Layers: Hummingbird Honey Cuts dies

Squared Spring Florals stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies

Let’s Party Gem Stickers

The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I like to use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started with a soft blend of pinks, blues and aquas for the front panel background. I used Distress Oxide Inks (Honey Bee carries all the colors.) to create the blend along with my blender brush. I stamped the beautiful spring frame of florals using the Squared Spring Florals stamp set. I cut it out using the coordinating Honey Cuts dies, including the inside square. I attached the design to the front panel using Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab. I also stamped and die cut the phrase, “Thinking of you” from the same set and attached it to the bottom right corner.

I die cut all the elements of the hummingbird, colored them using Copic Sketch Markers and glued them together. I used foam dots between the base and next layer for added dimension. I took a few liberties in choosing my hummingbird’s colors. I used the pinks, greens and blues of the background for this sweet bird. I used colors: RV95, RV91, E44, E43, E50, E53, Y28, B000, BG72, G00, and 100. Lastly, I added some sparkly Let’s Party Gem Stickers to the bottom and sides of the floral composition to complete the card.
