Merry Christmas Eve Honey Bee friends! For this special day I’ve made a card to celebrate the season using the beautiful Northern Star Cover Plate die along with the Joy stamps and coordinating Joy Honey Cuts. I absolutely love the layering word dies that Honey Bee has! Be sure to keep reading to see how I used the Christ Is Born set for the inside of the card.

I love how quick and easy this card was to make! To begin I die cut a piece of dark blue card stock with the Northern Star Cover Plate die. I trimmed it to 4″ X5-¼”. Then I used two Background Blender brushes to ink some Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot Distress Inks around the edges. Next I adhered the blue panel to a piece of gold glitter card stock using Bee Creative glue. I love the gold sparkling stars! I adhered this to a top folding white A2 card base.

I used the same card stocks to die cut my layers of the Joy Honey Cuts. I die cut the white top layer three times from Neenah Solar White 80# card stock for extra dimension. Then I adhered all of the layers together with Bee Creative glue. While the layers were drying, I stamped “to the world” from the Joy stamp set with Versamark, sprinkled on some gold embossing powder and heat set it. I layered some blue card stock behind it and die cut it with a Sentiment Banners Honey Cut. I waited until I finished the inside of the card before adhering this to the card front.

I don’t usually finish the inside of a card, but I thought that this beautiful image from the Christ Is Born set went perfectly with the front of the card.

On a separate piece of Neenah 80# card stock I stamped the manger from the Christ Is Born stamp set in Versamark, sprinkled on some gold sparkle embossing powder and heat set it. I used the coordinating Honey Cuts to die cut Mary and Joseph and the star. I adhered the pieces above strips of blue and gold glitter card stock with Bee Creative glue.

To finish off the inside, I used a sentiment that’s in the Christ Is Born stamp set and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! No matter how you celebrate this season, I am wishing all of the joy, peace, and happiness for you now and into 2021!
