Hello friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio today. Hope you are all well! Today I am sharing this fun slim line card with cute critters stuck up on top of each other!

The card measures 9″ x 4″ and it fits in a business size envelop perfectly. The background panel is 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of watercolor card stock. I messily drew plaid with watercolor using a flat brush. While I had my watercolor set out, I coated a scrap piece of watercolor card stock with pink and red paint to use for my die cut alphabets. I die cut g, a, and t to spell “goat” using the new Bee Bold Lowercase dies and substituted the “o” with a die cut flower using also the new Spring Bouquets die set (I added Spring Fling Enamel Dot as a flower center). To make the alphabets stand out a little more, I added two extra pink layers on the back.

The stacked up critters from the new Way to Goat stamp set were stamped with a little bit of masking. I started from the chick and worked the way down to the papa goat. I created a mask for each of the critters but only for the small area where the image overlaps with the one below. You only need the masks for their flippers, paws or hooves except for the pig. He overlaps with the two goats, so I masked him completely. The image was colored with Copics and then cut out with scissors. TIP: I struggle with leaving an even white border around the image when fussy cutting, so I usually draw a cutting line with a pencil first and erase it after done cutting.

The sentiment “I’ve GOAT your back” is from the Way to Goat stamp set. I performed a stamp surgery and cut the word GOAT off so I can use my die cut alphabets instead. After stamping the sentiment, I glued the die cut “goat” and adhered the cut out image with some foam tapes.

The card base is made from light yellow card stock and I adhered the card panel with liquid glue. I added some Be Mine Candy Hearts to finish off the card.

Thank you so so much for stopping by today.
Wishing you a wonderful week!
