Color block backgrounds are easy to create with just a little tape & ink!
Wanna know why I love them? They are super easy to create, I love the fresh & modern look and they are great one-layer-easy-to-mail cards!

Here’s how easy they are to create…

Apply low-tack tape like Purple Tape to card panel and then use a blending brush to apply ink. I like to use Distress Oxides because they blend beautifully on all kinds of paper.

After section has been inked, remove tape.

Stamp over color block background. I think pigment ink like VersaFine gives the best results when stamping over other inks.

Finish by stamping sentiment. I love the sassy Awesome Sauce sentiments with the florals and they are easy to stamp in multiple colors.
