Happy new week friends! I’m Keiko from Happy Tree Studio and I have this house shaped birthday card to share with you. The House Builder die set is one of my favorite products from Honey Bee and I always have fun making/building a new house. I wasn’t feeling very creative for some reason (it happens, right?) so this is a perfect die set to use. Because everything is perfectly thought out for you, only thing you need to do is to die cut the parts and put them together! You always end up with a beautifully made house shaped card and it’s always very satisfying!

There are many add-on sets available for the house builder die set, and you can make your dream house whether it’s a cute brick house like mine or gingerbread house, or even a haunted house! Today, I used mainly the original House Builder die set and used some of the parts from Gingerbread House Add-On set (scalloped roof, lights, shutters, bows and the wreath).

After die cutting everything you need from various colors of card stocks, all you need to do is glue them together.
TIP 1: Adding dimension to some of the elements will make a big difference. Instead of using foam tapes, I die cut few extra and layered them since most of them are pretty thin/small (window frames, lights, fence, etc.).
TIP 2: To add brick texture to the wall, I used Perfect Bricks Background stencil.

The birthday sentiments are from Birthday Wishes stamp set and I white heat embossed them and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I also die cut two extra layers and glued them on the back of heat embossed ones so the sentiments would pop a little.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week!
