Hi everyone, It’s Bobbi Lemanski here on Flag Day with a very special preview of a NEW Honey Bee Stamps mini release available on Sunday, June 14 called “Heroes.” I’m so excited to share two great sets with you. The “My Hero” stamp set features stamps to thank the heroes in our lives and “United We Stand” is the perfect patriotic set to celebrate our country on Flag and Independence days. Both sets are now available to order on the website. The amazing and entertaining Kelley Kohout will be doing a Release Party Live on Instagram & Facebook tonight at 8:00 PM, CST, Sunday 6/14. My Hero

The “My Hero” stamp and die sets have all the images and phrases to thank those brave and hard-working individuals that put their lives on the line for their communities and country… a service member, fire staff, police member, medical professionals, and teachers to name a few. I created an inspiration card that can be customized for the recipient. By simply changing out the symbolic images available in this set, this 5″ X 7″ card can be tailored for your hero. Here’s just a few options…

I love the phrases in this set because they can fit many situations. We all have different types of heroes in our lives. Perhaps someone that helps you with your kids or pets is your hero. My next card could be perfect for your daily hero.

One of my favorite phrases in the set is, “Not all heroes wear capes.” It’s so true! I used the die set to die cut “hero” and used a pattern paper from the Birthday Bash 6″ X 6″ pattern paper pad to fill the alphabet shapes. Three sizes of stars from the set were stamped and colored in to match the paper.

Inside this 5″ X 7″ card, I stamped a thank you using the bold word and more phrases from the stamp set on the warm gray card interior. I love how the matching stamps and dies can work together for creative looks.

Here’s another 5″ X 7″ card I made for those daily super heroes in our lives. I used an alcoholic ink background in shades of blues and greens and layered the die cut front over it. It’s a clean and artistic look for this modern design.

United We Stand

The “United We Stand” stamp and die sets celebrate America. With a large American flag and many appropriate phrases (with coordinating dies), this set offers ways to celebrate our wonderful country. What I love about this set is that the die set can create interesting looks beyond the stamp set. I used just the die set for the flag on the front of my card. I kept the card front very simple and neutral and really let the flag “stand out” inside.

Inside, our beautiful flag literally stands out from the background. For the background, I used pattern paper from the Log Cabin 6″ X 6″ paper pad . I heat embossed in white, the stars from the My Hero stamp set and the phrases from United We Stand. Because this is a 5″ X 7″ card and my background paper comes in lengths of 6″, I had an inch of white at the bottom to stamp “celebrate,” too.

From the side view, you can see that the flag stands out one inch from the background. I created a 1″ X 1″ support box for the pop-out mechanism. To create the flag, The stripes were stamped and the stars were die cut.
