Hi there! Leanne here today. I have a confession to make… I’m a collector of pretty patterned paper, specifically 6 x 6 patterned paper pads, and I have a bad habit of hoarding them instead of using them. Honey Bee has released some really good paper pads lately so for today’s card, I decided to put one of them to good use.

The Spring Lullaby paper pad has such a wonderful mix of prints and basic patterns in soft pastel colors. Even though these papers are intended for baby themes, I think the colors and patterns lend themselves to any type of project.

I started with a 5.5″ x 5.5″ white card base. I used the largest die from the Double Stitched Squares Honey Cuts to create a background panel out of two patterns from the Spring Lullaby paper pad. I added a skinny strip of navy card stock to cover the seam where the two patterns meet.

I used the Friend Honey Cuts and Friend 4 x 4 stamp set for the greeting. I created embellishment clusters using flower and foliage dies from the Spring Bouquets Honey Cuts. The leaves have been die cut out of paper from the Spring Lullaby paper pad. I used solid color card stock for the flowers and centers. For a special detail on the largest flower, I used a button for the center and backed it with a twine bow. Lastly I added just a few sequins to accent the flower clusters.
