Hello, Honey Bee friends!! I hope you’re all doing well!!
I am IN LOVE with the new addition to the Lovely Layers Honey Cut Collection!! You know that they are one of my faves!! (Along with many other people, for good reason!!) My card today combines the Lovely Layers: Pansy Die Set with several other goodies from the newest Happy Hearts Release!!
I started by die-cutting all of the layers of the Lovely Layers: Pansy Honey Cuts from white cardstock. I usually use Copic markers to color my die-cuts, but I decided to blend some Distress Oxide Inks onto them this time. I blended Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wildnerness with blending brushes, then stacked and adhered them together with Bee Creative Glue. I added some detail to the centers with a yellow gel pen.
For the background, I used the Damask A2 Cover Plate Die with a panel of white cardstock, then blended Wilted Violet Distress Oxide with the Damask Background Stencil, making sure it was darker at the bottom and faded out toward the top. I die-cut it with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangle Die Set and adhered to a purple panel of cardstock, which was die-cut with the largest die in the same set. The middle frame in the Opulent Layering Frames Die Set was die-cut from lilac cardstock and adhered to the damask backkground with Bee Creative Glue. The pansies were arranged and adhered, also with liquid glue.
The sentiment was foiled with satin lilac foil onto Glimmer Specialty Cardstock using the Foil Script: Love Hot Foil Plate and Die Set, then cut out with the included die. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered them behind the foiled one with liquid glue. The sentiment was also added with liquid glue. A few Winter Wonder Gem Stickers were the perfect finishing touch. They picked up all of the colors in the pansies perfectly!!
