Hello, Honey Bee friends!! I hope you’re having a great week!!

I have a sweet birthday card to share with you today!!

I began by stamping the adorable images from the Sweet Honey Bee Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. I added some highlights with a white gel pen and some stamen to the flowers with a yellow gel pen. A black glaze pen was also used to add a little shine to the bee’s eyes.

For the background, I die-cut the Happy Happy Happy A2 Cover Plate from heavyweight white cardstock. Be sure to save the inside parts for the letters a & p. I ran the panel through my die-cutting machine with the Ombre Dots Hot Foil Plate and an embossing mat to add some texture to the panel. Next, I ink-blended Villainous Potion, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks onto a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock so the blends would show through the letters in the background panel. Once it was dry, I adhered it behind the die-cut panel and added the middle parts of the letters back in with Bee Creative Glue.

The sentiment is from the Happy Beeday Stamp Set (which is on major retirement sale right now). It was stamped onto white cardstock with Intense Black Ink and cut out with its Coordinating Die (also on sale). The border, bees and sentiment were all popped up with foam adhesive, trimming the excess border from each side.

These bright colors make me happy, happy, happy and I hope they will make the recipient of the card happy, as well!!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!! Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you next Tuesday!!

Brenda
