Hello, friends and happy Tuesday, which seems like a Monday to me!! I hope those of you who had a long weekend enjoyed it!!

I have a Father’s Day card to share today that I created for my dad!! I LOVE all of the names for “dad” that are included in the One of the Guys Stamp Set!! Everyone calls my dad “pops”!! Not just our family, but all of our friends do to, so I was super excited that “pops” was in this set!!

I began by die-cutting the background, canoe and oar from white cardstock using the Lakeside Scene Builder Honey Cut Set. I used the At The Lake Stencil Set to add color to the background using Distress Oxide Inks and blending brushes. I used Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, Rustic Wilderness, Peeled Paint and Salty Ocean.

For the sky, I blended Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet onto a panel of white cardstock. Once it was dry, I die-cut it with the largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangle Die Set, then blended Bee Creative White Pigment Ink through the cloud layer of the At The Lake Stencil Set. I also added white piment ink onto the mountain die-cut with a brayer, to bring out all of the detail that is embossed into it.

Once the pigment ink was totally dry, I added some details onto the trees and mountains and colored the canoe and oar with Copic markers. The sentiment, from the One of the Guys Stamp Set, was stamped onto the sky background with Bee Creative Embossing Ink and white heat embossed. The mountain layer was popped up with foam tape, as was the canoe and oar, for lots of dimension.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you next Tuesday!!

Brenda
