Happy new week friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio and I have this cute Halloween scene card to share with you! It’s made of fun die cuts and little bit of stamping. Because of the color scheme I used, it’s not spooky but rather pop and cheerful but you can easily use more traditional Halloween colors and made this design spookier!

For the background, I started with a piece of pink card stock and white heat embossed the spider web from Happy Halloween stamp set and die cut it with Deckle Edge A2 die for added texture. The sentiment is from Hucus Pocus set and I stamped it with dark grey ink on the same pink card stock and die cut it with the coordinating die.

I went through my Honey Bee die sets and picked out the ones that would work well together in terms of size and scale. Here is the list of the sets I used:
A Little Spooky (skull, books, crow, large bone)
Toil & Trouble (bloom, witch hat, spider, small bone)
Pumpkin Spice Market Cart Add-On (pumpkins)

I was going for a clean & simple look, so decided not to add any inks or colors on these die cuts except the crow’s eyes, beak, top of the pumpkins, and few white pen highlights (you really don’t need to since these dies emboss those great details when cut!).

I adhered all the elements using liquid glue and foam adhesives and pop up the panel on the card base with foam tapes. TIP: For the bloom, I die cut an extra piece and layered on the back rather than trying to cut foam tapes into super thin pieces. To finish off the card, I tied some twine and added grey enamel dots to the eyes of the skull.

Thank you so much Beth! I don’t think I ever used pink for Halloween, but so glad I tried!
