Happy new week crafty friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio and I have a colorful gummy bear card for you! This is undoubtedly the cleanest and simplest card I ever made (and probably the most colorful one)! I also made a small gift box to put some candies (or gift card) in to go with the card.

Because it’s a super simple in design, I really tried to add some texture and dimension to these cute gummy bears from the new Lovely Layers: Fall Treats die set. After selecting some bright colored card stocks, I die cut each bear four times and glued them together to make them dimensional. In order to make the details (these are pressed in by the die) stand out, I applied a layer of white pigment ink using a brayer. TIP: I recommend using a brayer here instead of your usual blending brush or foam so the white ink will not color those pressed in details. The final step is to add shine by clear heat embossing them. You can get by with one layer but second (or even third) coat will make them smooth and shinier!

Now the gummy bears are done and only thing we need is a sentiment. Since I did not want to cover up too much of the cute bears, I decided to use Mini messages: Sweets stamp set. I stamp the each word in the sentiment in different colors by simply masking off the adjacent words. I then die cut it out with the coordinating banner die and layered two extra die cuts on the back to make the sentiment stand out. All you need to do to finish the card is to adhere the gummy bears on the cream card base and add the sentiment on top!

The treat box is also super easy to make thanks to the well thought out Vintage Gift Card Box die set. I die cut the main part of the box from cream card stock and stamped the images from the new Vintage Gift Card Box Add-On Fall Treats set using red and teal inks. I also added some colors here and there with coordinating colors of markers before putting the box together using strong adhesives. To finish off the box, I added a red die cut frame from Vintage Gift Card Box Add-On Fall Treats die set and added Glossy Accents to the main image.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!!
