Hello crafty friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio today. I’m sharing this sweet sympathy card inspired by the beautiful sentiments from Honey Bee Stamp’s Missing You stamps. I always have these sympathy cards on hand because I know the terrible pain we all feel when our furry friends cross the rainbow bridge. I just hope receiving a card like this will help even just a tiny bit.

Preparing the elements
I started this card by stamping the puppy (from Puppy Love set), kittens (from Oh My Whiskers set) and a chick (from Spring Chicks set) with light gray ink on white card stock. I colored them with my colored pencils and cut them out with the coordinating dies. To make a pair of velum angel wings for the puppy, I simply cut out the rough shape first, and glued some leaf like pieces on top. Rainbows are die cut using Rainbow Wishes die. I cut them from watercolor paper and colored them by blending in Distress Inks. I used Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass, Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade, and Spiced Marmalade. From the same die set, I used several sizes of clouds to make glittery clouds.

Making Backgrounds
On a piece of 5″ x 7″ white card stock, lightly blend Milled Lavender Distress Ink, and then place a cloud stencil from Outdoor Scene Builder stencil set and blend over Scattered Straw Distress Ink. I added some texture with silver watercolor splatter (I added this to the rainbows too). I die cut two cloud border (one from regular velum and another from pink velum) and a grass border (I added Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink).

Card Assembly
Before putting together the card, lay all the elements out and stamp & heat emboss the sentiment (I used pale blue embossing powder). Then adhere all the elements using liquid glue and foam tapes.

Final Touches
I made a 5″ x 7″ card base from heavy weight card stock and glued the panel on top. Then I added Glossy Accents to the noses and chick’s beak. Also add scattering of Crystal Clear Acrylic Hearts to finish the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful week!!
