Hello friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio! Today I am sharing this cute house shaped gnome card with you. I have been wanting to make a house shaped card with this adorable gnome but I felt he is little too tall for the original House Builder die set. So when Honey Bee Stamps came out with this Barn Scene Builder die set, I knew it was perfect for my gnome! You can easily turn this barn into a cute house.

Apart from the gnome image, this is an all die cut card. I listed all the dies I used for this project below, but you can easily recreate this card only with Barn Scene Builder die set and the original House Builder set!

Here are the list of the dies I used:
Barn Scene Builder: House base, Roof, Door
House Builder: Window (2nd floor), Curtains, Flower box, Chimney, Leaves, Fence, Bushes, Hinge (for the card base)
Treat Shop Add-On: Flowers (There are flower dies included in the House Builder set. The are slightly smaller, but they will work!)
Farm House Add-On: Windows (1st floor: You can use the window from the House builder set!)
Gingerbread House Add-On: Wreath, Shutters, Lamp post (You can instead use the flower pot and small wreath in the House Builder set!)

Some are die cut from woodgrain card stock and inked, some small pieces are cut from colored card stock. I used the pattern paper from Holiday Traditions pack for the curtains. For the added texture, I used the rock pattern paper from the Home Essentials pack for the chimney, and cut out two random strips to add to the bottom of the house. You also need to cut two of the main barn base and a hinge piece (included in the House Builder set) to make a card base.

Now all the prep work is done and you can have fun building your house! I used foam tapes to adhere some of the elements. TIP: I cut the main house piece (wall) into thin strips, inked the edges, and then glue them back on the card base. It will take some time, but I love the results! For the second floor flower box, I used three flower box pieces side by side. If you are going to add the chimney, make sure you glue it on the card base before you add the wall pieces! (ask me how I know!)

I stamped the cute gnome, colored him with Copic Markers, then fussy cut him out. For the inside of the card, I stamped “GNOME place like home” sentiment and gnome and his goat.

Thank you very much for stopping by today. Please stay safe and well!!
