Hello crafty friends! Happy new week! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio and I have something fun today to share with you all. It’s a shaker ornament with a cute gingerbread house (and trees)!

For the ornament, I used oldies but goodies Globe & Ornament Shaker Card die set. I die cut the base from both pale pink and white glitter card stock and used Snow Day Cover Plate die on the pink one and layer it on top of the glitter one to create a snowy scene. I die cut the frame from the same pale pink card stock and layered it on an acetate that is cut using the base die. The hanger was cut from mat gold card stock (one for the front and another for the back).

For the inside of the shaker, I used the following die sets:
Spring Cottage Village (house)
Winter Village (trees)
Country Christmas Wreath (candy cane)
Horizon Slimline Borders (hill)

I die cut them from brown and white glitter card stock and added white gel pen details to the house and trees and colored the candy cane with markers. I also added some pearl stickers and a Be Mine Clay Hearts to the house and the trees after adhering the elements to the ornament base.

I then added some foam strips on the back of the frame and adhered it on top of the ornament base after filling the shaker with some iridescent glitter and sequins. For the sentiment, I chose the one from Let Nature Sing stamp set and white heat embossed it on the banner die cut using the new Fancy Fall Layering Frames. To decorate the ornament a little, I used a bow from Layering Holiday Bells set and a greenery die from Lovely Layers: Winter Greenery set.

To finish off the project, I adhered some pearls on the greenery and added some glitter to the banner, bow and the greenery. I then tied some white ribbon so I could hang it on my tree.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!
