Hello Friends, Ilda here and I am excited to be here for Day 2 of the Twelve Designers Event for Honey Bee Stamps!
I am back with another shaker card. If you have been following me you know that I have been making a few of these frameless holiday shakers lately. This time I thought it would be fun to create the slimline version. The process of making them is super simple, so if you want to know how they are made watch my latest video →HERE I promise it is much easier to watch then for me to try to explain it.
CARD DETAILS
I started this card by cutting out the panel for the card out of Bristol paper. The panel was cut to 4×8 inches and then eventually glued onto the same size card base.
I wanted to make a northern sky background so I used a bunch of Distress Oxide Inks to blend out the colors for the background (see links below for the colors used). Once I had completed the blending I then spritzed the paper with water and pick up the droplets with a paper towel.
For the snowy hill that the snowman is on, I die cut a piece of white cardstock with the DOUBLE STITCHED OVALS. I then stamped out the sentiment from the SEASON TO SPARKLE set and heat set the black Versafine Onyx Ink with clear embossing powder.
To the sky, I glued on some of the snowflakes from the LAYERING SNOWFLAKE DIES.
This darling little snowman comes from the SNOW BUDDIES stamp set that I colored in using Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating SNOW BUDDIES DIE set. I also added some Liquid Pixie Dust to the body to add some sparkle and added some gel pen details to the scarf and earmuffs.
To fill in the shaker I used MOON DANCE and a BLIZZARD CONFETTI MIX. To the top of the plastic, I added some white enamel stickers from the BACK TO BASICS set.
