It’s Bobbi Lemanski here, just days before the first day of Spring. I am ready to spring forward into warmer days, spring flowers and green grass. I decided to make a quick and easy floral wreath to channel my first day of Spring excitement. My card features the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Spring Peony stamp and die sets

Busy Bee stamp and die sets

Home Essentials 6″ X 6″ paper pad

Fluttering By stamp set

Here’s a video showing how it quickly came together…

I started by cutting seven 5″ wide X 1″ tall strips of pattern paper from the Home Essentials paper pad and adhered them to a 5″ X 7″ warm gray card base, allowing a small strip the of the gray to show through between each strip.

I stamped, colored and die cut greenery stems and buds from the Spring Peony stamp set to create the wreath. I did the same with the daisy from the set, Busy Bee stamp and die sets. Copic colors used:

  • Greenery: YG67, YG17, YG03, YG01
  • Buds: R14, R22, R00, Y08, Y11
  • Daisies: Y38, Y19, Y11, C3, C1

The greenery and florals were arranged into a wreath shape, adding dimensional foam tabs behind a few of the flowers for dimension. A small black and white gingham bow was added to the wreath and Pretty Poppy clay flowers to complete it. Lastly, I added the phrase from the Fluttering By stamp set and adhered with dimensional foam tabs to make it stand out.

I hope you enjoy your first day of spring this week. In the meantime, consider bringing flowers into your world through your card projects!
