It’s Bobbi Lemanski from BobbiHartDesign.com with a new fall card idea! I have to admit. It’s hard to follow up Honey Bee Stamp’s Inspiration week from last week. There were so many great ideas each day using new products from the Autumn Blessings release. If you missed it, just go to the Honey Bee Stamps blog and click through the days, including the Blog Hops on Friday and Saturday. Today, I’m sharing another idea using the new Fall Bouquets die set along with the Grateful Each Day stamp set, both part of the Autumn Blessings release. I used this combination last week for the Friday blog hop which I’ll link to below, too. For my card today, I’m using the glass jar for my florals.

I used the following Honey Bee products for this 5″ X 7″ card.

I wanted this card to look like you could see through the jar to the written verse behind it. I started by stamping the verse in black on the card front (I made sure to stamp it low enough to allow room for placement of the vase and flowers.) and added some specks of watercolor in mint green, teal green and black to the background to “dirty” it up a bit for the look. I set this panel aside to work on the jar and flowers next.

I die cut the large jar and colored it in using my Copic Sketch markers in various shades of greens including YR03, YR21, G00, G99 and various other shades of G. I like the contrast of the two very different shades of green. It reminds me of the old green glass that Mason jars used to be made from. I added in some blue to make it appear like the jar was half full of water. Because I wanted the verse to look like it was behind the vase, I stamped it on the vase in a much lighter color compared to the black used on the front panel. I chose a grey color that was light enough for the look, but could still show on the green. I also added a few white highlight lines right over the verse and green vase using my Signo Uni-ball gel pen for highlights.

For the flowers, I stamped two Mother’s Day bouquet images and colored them in using YR shades for the leaves, RV pink shades for the flowers and V violet shades for the berries. The bouquet is arc-shaped to fit in a centerpiece so I cut them up to make stems for my jar vase. The sticks in the bouquet are from the Haunted House Add-On die set (also new in this release). I cut up the tree to make sticks for my arrangement. I adhered the jar and florals to the card front, carefully lining up the stamped verse on the jar with the stamped verse on the card front. I drew in some stems on the vase after the flowers were secured in place and added C gray shading to the bottom on the card front, around the vase to “anchor” it to the ground. I had a few berries left over so I also added them to the base of the vase.

For the inside of my card, I stamped the verse again on gray cardstock and stamped the Mother’s Day bouquet in the upper right corner to embellish.

Here’s a look at the front and inside panels side-by-side. Notice my card base is a light gray cardstock, but my card front is the Neenah Solar White cardstock color.

I think this combination of die and stamp sets works so well together. Here’s a card I created last week using the Fall Bouquets die set along with the Grateful Each Day stamp set, both part of the Autumn Blessings release. You can find the details for this one on my blog

These are beautiful. I feel in love with these stamp sets when I saw them and you’ve done some great work with them. I really like that tree used as sticks in the arrangements.
