Hi friends! This is Angelica, and today I have a watercolored card to share with you. I used The beautiful Everything Wonderful stamp set.

I set myself up the same way for every watercoloring session, two jars of water, 3 round brushes (#2, #4, #6) and a few folded paper towels, to wipe my brushes on. I made a soft wash all over an Arches 140lb Cold Press watercolor panel, using Daniel Smith Lavender and Naples Yellow. Next, I stamped the image with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

I’ve been playing a lot with watercolors lately. I used Mijello Mission Gold watercolor paint for the floral image, mixing colors together to make my palette. I love dusty rose hues, and made mine by mixing Permanent Red and Crimson Lake colors together. I also used a mixture of Lemon Yellow and a drop of Yellow Ochre together to add to the tips of the rose petals.

I painted in sections, and ended up adding 3 layers of color. Once I was finished adding color, I used my #2 brush and Sepia paint to add the finishing touches. I deepened the shaded areas with a swipe of paint, and closed the gaps in between the flowers with Sepia. I let the panel fully air dry, then trimmed the pane to 4″x5.25″. I stamped the sentiment with Virsafine Clair Nocturne ink, and attached it to a card base with foam adhesive.

That’s all that I have for today. I hope I have helped with watercolor inspiration. Thanks for stopping by!
