Hello Honey Bee friends!! It’s been a flurry of fall themed cards around here lately and today is no exception!! I was coloring Hope the Hedgehog and she just has such a joyful look on her face. The first thing that came to mind was jumping into a big pile of leaves (hence the fall theme referenced above)…so that’s exactly what I did!! Let’s get started!

Hope-the-Hedgehog-1

I began by stamping Hope the Hedgehog onto white cardstock with light ink and doing some no-line coloring with Copic markers, then cutting her out with the Coordinating Honey Cuts. A black glaze pen adds some shine to her eyes and few highlights were added with a white gel pen. I die-cut a bunch of leaves and acorns with the Fall Bouquet Honey Cuts and ran them through Distress Oxide Inks that were “smooshed” onto my craft mat and diluted with water.

I ink blended some Distress Oxides in different shades of green with blending brushes onto a Bristol panel for the background and splattered it with some white gouache. The pile of leaves was arranged and adhered to the background panel and Hope was popped up with foam adhesive. A few of the leaves were overlapped onto her to give the illusion that she had jumped into them. The Enjoy stamp set and Coordinating Honey Cuts were used for the greeting. Lastly, a few leaves and sequins from the Harvest Festival Sequin Mix were added for some shine.

I hope you like how this turned out as much as I do!! Hope is just the cutest little hedgehog that I’ve ever seen!!

Have a great week and I’ll see you next Tuesday!!

Brenda
