Hello, Bee friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with a card for your favorite brew master, novice home brewer or beer connoisseur. Craft beers are all the rage and have grown like crazy in the last five years. A craft beer is any beer made by a small independent brewer or operation. When I saw the word “dude” in the Crafty stamp and die set from Honey Bee Stamps, my mind went to craft beer / brew making – a different type of craft! I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Crafty stamp and coordinating die set

Raise A Glass stamp and coordinating die set

Apron: BBQ Add-On die set

Inside: Snarky Birthday Sentiments

To create this 5″ X 7″ card, I used pattern papers for the background. For the top, I used a yellow pattern paper from the Funfetti Birthday paper pad (cut 5″ wide X 4-3/4″ tall) and for the bottom, a paper from the Fresh Brewed paper pad (cut 5″ wide X 2-1/4″ tall). A 1/2″ strip of black cardstock was applied to the bottom of the yellow pattern paper. A 3-7/8″ black circle and 3-5/8″ white circle were adhered to the background using Bee Creative Precision Glue.

For the “crafty” wood sign, I die cut the pierced shadow die from faux wood paper from the Fresh Brewed paper pad and from 4mm black craft foam. I adhered them together. Next, I die cut three “crafty” script words from black cardstock, stacked them together, and glued in place on the wood shadow piece. The entire sign design was glued to the front of the card, over the black strip.

A tall glass of beer was stamped, and the glass and beer bottles were die cut and colored. I used the following Copic colors:

  • Bottles: YG67, YG63, YG61, YG91, YR27, YR24, YR23, Y19
  • Glass of beer: BG000, BG00, YR27, YR24, YR21, Y19

The bottles and beer were arranged around the “crafty” sign, with the glass being raised using a foam tab. For a masculine look, I added black nail head trim around the the circle design using a fine-tip marker. I also added drops of bronze Pearl Pen in the corners of the papers, too. Lastly, I stamped in Versamark and embossed in white the phrases, “Dude” and “Let’s get” and added the strips to the front, above the bottles and glass.

For the inside, I added another beer bottle and stamped two phrases below it from the the stamp sets, Inside: Snarky Birthday Sentiments and Inside: Birthday Sentiments. I crossed out the word “eat” and hand wrote, “drink” to the one phrase, too!
