Hi Bee friends. It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with four tags for your favorite dogs and/or dog lovers! In our family, our dogs give gifts to other family members’ dogs. It might be a bag of treats, a new toy or a cute bow for the collar. Whatever it it is, I like to wrap the gifts in fun Christmas doggie wrap and add a cute dog tag, too. After all, our four-legged friends deserve a happy pawliday, too!

For these gift tags, I used the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Tag You’re It: Holidays stamp set and coordinating die set

Tag Builder Die Set

Puppy Dog Tails stamp set and coordinating die set

Loads of Holiday Cheer stamp set

Vintage Holiday 6″ X 6″ paper pad

Four Dog Tags

To make the dog tags, I cut all four tags using the largest tag die in the Tag Builder die set. I cut three from 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock and one from red cardstock. Each one was backed with pattern paper from the Vintage Holiday 6″ X 6″ paper pad. I stamped a to/from on the backs using the Tag You’re It: Holidays stamp set. The set includes two options – a print and a script version. The tag fronts and backs were adhered together.

For each tag, I stamped the phrase from the Tag You’re It: Holidays stamp set and cut it out using the coordinating die set. I stamped and die cut the dog images and dog bed from the Puppy Dog Tails stamp set and coordinating die set. I used Bee Creative Intense Black ink for all my black stamped images. This ink is dark, crisp and looks great on projects.

For the “Have yourself a merry little Christmas” tag, I used some of my colorful paper scraps and attached various sizes of stripes to the bottom of the tag. I colored the pup using Copic Markers in colors: E44, E43, E42 and R000. The dog bed was colored using Copics: R89, R29, R17, R14, YG67, YG63, YG03, YG00, C7, C3, C1. I attached the dog to the bed and adhered the two and the phrase to the tag base using Scrapbook Adhesives foam tabs. A gold string was added to complete the tag.

For the jolly tag, I stamped the strings of lights stamp from the Loads of Holiday Cheer stamp set on the tag. I splattered colorful paint over the upper part of the tag for a festive look. I hand drew in a simple sweater on the dog using a fine-tip black marker (that matched the width of the stamped image) and colored it to match the string of lights. I also added a little color to the JOLLY letters, too. Copic markers used on the sweater and letters include: R89, R17, R14, BG49, BG23, YG67, YG03, YG00, W7, W5, E47, E44, E43, and E42. A silver string was added at the top.

For the “Merry Everything” tag, I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed the snowflake border and large snowflake using WOW! Embossing powder. I splattered Dr. Ph Marten’s white paint over the tag. I hand drew in some smaller flakes using my white Gelly Roll pen. I colored the dog with some shading only using Copics in C5, C3, and C1. I attached the dog using Scrapbook Adhesives foam tabs and finished with a silver string.

For the last tag, I created an area rug by die cutting two ovals and layering them. I added faux braiding and texture to the rug in YG67, YG63 and a my white Gelly Roll pen I used a fine-tip black marker to hand draw a holiday sweater on the pup then colored the dog using Copics in E44, E43, E42, E55, E53, E50, R89, R29, R17, R14, YG67, YG03 and YG00. I attached the dog using Scrapbook Adhesives foam tabs. A gold string was strung through the hole tag to complete the look.
